Water treatment is any process that improves the quality of water to make it more acceptable for a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking, industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow maintenance, water recreation or many other uses.

One of the most common water systems in the United States is the water softener. A water softener can be used on both city water and well water applications and can be built to remove various things in water including Iron, Magnesium, Calcium and Tannins. The focus of a water softener is remove the scaling buildup that is responsible for spotty dishes, staining and clogged shower heads amongst other things. The savings of a water softener far outweigh the cost. Using soft water can reduce water-heating bills up to 29%. Soft water also requires 50% to 75% less detergent to do laundry and dishes. Using soft water also eliminates scaling in appliances and increasing the life of your water heater significantly.

Another common problem in the United States is Hydrogen Sulfide. Most people know it as the “rotten egg smell” This pungent gas, not only is bothersome to the nose but Hydrogen sulfide is corrosive and can leach metals from plumbing systems into the water. Corrosion of metals by hydrogen sulfide forms a black precipitate that can stain laundry and bathroom fixtures, darken silverware, and discolor copper and brass utensils. Lucky for those of us with this issue, there are solutions to this problem. One of which is Chargers Iron Breaker III system. Our system works by oxidizing the Sulphur and then removing through the media bed inside the tank. While most other systems use expensive and dangerous chemicals, our unit uses only the air we breathe to remove Sulphur.
